Impish Investors
A downloadable Board Game
Hell’s soul market has crashed! Debauchery and depravity have fallen out of fashion, and people just aren’t sinning like they used to! Satan has hired his most trusted demons, succubi, and all around devilish creatures to fix this mess. As one of Satan’s very own impish investors, your job is to damn the most souls to hell, outwit your opponents, and corner the market to become the best soul trader across all the planes of existence.
Impish Investors is a party game for 4 players that pits you as demon investors competing to earn the most souls. Simply print out the attached components, read the following instructions, and you're on your way to being Satan's next greatest Impish Investor.
What Components Do You Need?
- 1 Sin Value Board
- 6 Demon ID Cards
- 4 Pentagram Tokens (purple, blue, red, gold)
- 36 Fate Cards
- 6 Sets of Phase I Cards (Mortal, Carnal, Venial)
- 6 Sets of Phase II Cards (Buy/Sell 1-10 Souls)
- 6 Sets of Phase III Cards (Mortal, Carnal, Venial +- 1)
- 6 Player File Folders
- 6 Blank Ledger Cards
- 6 Phase Guides
- Any writing utensil
How to play?
The job is simple: secure the most souls by the end of the game. But you’ll have to be smart if you want to win -- remember to gain stock in a sin when the value is low (10) and spare the sinners when the value is high (90). Use your demonic influence to affect the market to your advantage or, if you’re feeling devilish, to your opponents' disadvantage.
- Phase I - Establish The Trade
- Choose one sin you'd like to trade this round.
- Keep hidden until all players have chosen, then all reveal at the same time.
- Phase II - Strategic Investments
- Decide whether you are buying or selling sin in your chosen Phase I stock, and then how much of it to buy/sell (1-10).
- Place the card in your folder so ONLY buy/sell is showing, not the number value.
- Phase III - Market Forces
- Choose one sin you'd like to influence the market value of
- Phase IV - Cash Out
- Calculate how much of your chosen sin you've bought/sold, and how souls you've lost/gained in the process.
At the end of 5 rounds, the player with the highest ending amount of souls on their ledger card is the winner.
